Te Karere Whitiao Scarborough joins me to talk poetry, parenting, and being Māori in a society who often asks those who aren't Pākehā to leave their culture at the door. He talks about his experience at the Parenting Place where he was asked to intentionally bring his Māoritanga to work with him. We talk about what that journey is like and how other organisations can think well about honouring all people. We also talk about what lead to him changing his name and how that came about.
You can hear some of Te Karere's poetry on YouTube here or here
And find the Parenting place on Facebook at facebook.com/parentingplacenz
